We're looking for an young finance professional to fill the role of Accountant to join a fast-growing national operation in the supply chain services space. This is not a typical accounting role though, this role is suited to someone who is naturally curious , gets excited about turning business rules into clear logical processes through making use of AI and technology! This is a hands-on role right at the centre of the business, with real scope to make it your own You'll be part of a small close-knit team where everyone gets stuck in, so your reconciliations, credit control and reporting keep the wider operation running smoothly It's a fast-paced but warm environment, one that backs people who want to work hard, learn fast and grow their career. What you will be doing: Manage the full debtors function, including invoicing, collections and reconciliations Process supplier invoices, reconcile accounts and prepare payment schedules Maintain the daily cashbook and perform regular bank reconciliations Monitor and report on cash flow, assisting with forecasting and planning Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Maintain the fixed asset register Assist with monthly management accounts, reporting and budgeting Provide general financial administrative support and assist with audits and compliance Scope to build modelling skills and do interesting things - in fact - someone who enjoys this and getting the mundane run well with AI this is for you What we are looking for: Minimum of a completed tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, CIMA, Part CIMA or CA(SA) Minimum 2 years relevant commercial experience Analytical and strong problem-solving skills Accountable, fast learner with high attention to detail Genuinely serious about building a long-term career in an entrepreneurial team Curious and willing to get stuck in as part of a small team Diligent, analytical and solutions-focussed Excellent MSExcel skills Experience with ZOHO and/or Python advantageous not essential Benefits and unique aspects: Fast-paced but homely environment with a genuinely social active culture where they enjoy fun outdoor and activities together Real autonomy and ownership once you've earned the trust Personal growth for those who commit, with real exposure to the business Please note if you haven't heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
