My client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a financial manager

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements: Professional Accountant (SA) registered with SAIPA, Business Accountant registered with SAIBA, or CIMA (ACMA/CGMA), with at least five years' post-qualification experience in a financial-manager or senior-accountant role. CA(SA) candidates are welcome but the package is set for a professional accountant. At least three years in an importing distributor or wholesaler: landed-cost accounting, stock in transit, bonded stock, foreign-currency purchasing and forward cover. Demonstrable, hands-on South African customs knowledge: SAD500s, customs worksheets, MRNs, bond releases, clearing-agent reconciliations, exporter / importer registration on SARS RLA, vouchers of correction and the documentary requirements for import VAT claims. Strong VAT technical ability across multiple registered vendors, including import VAT, zero-rated exports and SARS verifications; able to reconcile VAT control accounts to the SARS statement of account without assistance Working knowledge of exchange-control documentation for outward foreign payments and crossborder receipts through a South African commercial bank. Experience preparing provisional and annual tax computations for companies and working with an external tax practitioner on SARS eFiling. Sage (Sage 50 / Sage Business Cloud / Sage Evolution or similar) and advanced Excel: lookups, pivot tables, landed-cost and cash-flow models. Experience supervising at least two staff in a small finance team. Multi-entity, intercompany and consolidation experience.
