POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant with the technical grounding and commercial awareness to oversee the financial operations of an established agricultural and manufacturing business. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers, understands operational reporting and can take ownership of the accounting function. You'll report into management, oversee three direct reports across Debtors, Creditors and Administration, and play an important role in keeping financial reporting, controls and day-to-day accounting processes on track. Where you'll make your mark Take ownership of accounting records through to trial balance, managing month-end processes, journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Compile and review gross profit reports, financial results and operational figures to highlight performance trends and discrepancies. Monitor cash flow, review creditor reconciliations and manage intercompany balances to maintain accurate financial records. Oversee VAT and tax provisions, fixed asset registers, annual financial statement preparation and external audit coordination. Manage and guide three direct reports across Debtors, Creditors and Administration, ensuring deadlines, processes and financial controls are consistently maintained. What you need to bring BCom Accounting or an equivalent relevant qualification. At least 5 years' relevant Financial Accounting experience. Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles will be advantageous.
