POSITION INFO:
FINANCE OFFICER Luxury Resort | Rustenburg, North West An exciting opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to join the finance team of a luxury resort. This role is suited to a finance professional who can manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and work closely with operational teams to support effective financial management. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement , combining remote work with regular on-site collaboration. Candidates must be based within reasonable travelling distance of the property and willing to travel to site as required. Residents of Rustenburg and surrounding areas will be preferred. THE ROLE Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash flow forecasts. Manage reconciliations, journal entries, expense allocations, debtors and creditors. Monitor budgets, analyse variances and support cost-control initiatives. Assist with VAT calculations, statutory compliance and annual financial statements. Coordinate audit requirements and liaise with external auditors. Oversee weekly payment processes and ensure accurate, timely authorisation. Verify payroll figures and assist with cost of sales and payroll reconciliations. Collaborate with operational teams, participate in stock counts and maintain internal financial controls. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR A qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or relevant bookkeeping experience. At least 3 years' experience in a similar finance role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliations. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and organisational abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in hospitality, resorts or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
