Finance and Insurance Manager

About the Role

• We are seeking a Finance and Insurance Specialist to oversee the financial aspects related to insurance policies and coverage options. In this role, you will be primarily focused on analysing underwriting processes, managing risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• You will play a crucial part in providing clients with tailored financial solutions that meet their insurance needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports related to insurance products.
• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
• Liaise with insurance providers to negotiate terms and secure the best rates for clients.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations within the finance and insurance sectors.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues concerning policies and claims.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop effective financial strategies and promotional materials for insurance products.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in legislation affecting finance and insurance.
• Educate clients on the financial aspects of insurance policies and assist them in making informed decisions.

Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proven track record in finance and insurance roles, demonstrating strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with underwriting processes and a solid understanding of risk management principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in insurance or finance, such as the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
• Knowledge of emerging trends in financial technology (fintech) and their applications in the insurance industry.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role within the finance or insurance sectors.
