SUMMARY:
Location: Gauteng
Employment Type: Contract / Immediate Start

A leading organisation is looking for a Finance Administrator: Debtors and Billing to join their finance team on an immediate basis.
The successful candidate will support the billing and debtors function, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, proactive collection of outstanding debt and effective management of customer accounts.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and process audit billing and invoices accurately and within required timelines. Ensure all billing information, purchase orders and supporting documentation are obtained before invoicing. Manage the debtors book and proactively follow up on outstanding customer payments. Drive collections against monthly targets and reduce overdue debt. Send customer statements and follow up on outstanding invoices. Investigate and resolve billing queries, short payments and account discrepancies. Liaise with Operations, Coordinators, Finance and clients to resolve issues affecting billing or payment. Escalate long-outstanding debt and high-risk accounts when required. Maintain accurate records of collection activities, payment commitments and customer correspondence. Provide regular billing, collections and ageing updates to management. Support month-end billing and debtors reporting. Ensure adherence to financial controls, procedures and confidentiality requirements. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric is essential. A Finance or Accounting qualification will be advantageous. 2-3 years' experience in debtors, collections and\/or billing. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience working with an ERP or accounting system. Strong communication and customer follow-up skills. High attention to detail with the ability to work independently. Ability to work under pressure and meet month-end deadlines. Good command of written and spoken English. MICROSOFT OFFICE SKILLS Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is required, including: Excel PowerPoint OneDrive Microsoft Teams Document sharing and control Experience with mail merging will be advantageous. The successful candidate will be customer-focused, highly organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Strong attention to detail, discretion and the ability to handle confidential financial information are essential.
