Field Service Technician (Transport Refrigeration)

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Conduct preventative maintenance and servicing of transport refrigeration units. Diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical faults. Perform breakdown and emergency call-out support when required. Complete inspections, service reports, and maintenance documentation accurately. Install and commission refrigeration equipment and related components. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery. Provide technical recommendations to improve equipment reliability and performance. Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles. Minimum Requirements Trade Tested Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal preferred). Minimum 3 years' experience in refrigeration maintenance and repairs. Valid driver's license. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently in a field service environment. Good communication and customer service skills. Preferred Experience Experience working on Thermo King, Carrier Transicold, or similar transport refrigeration systems. Knowledge of transport refrigeration, cold-chain logistics, and fleet refrigeration equipment. Experience with mobile refrigeration units, diesel engines, electrical systems, and electronic controllers. Exposure to compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigeration control systems.
