Job purpose
To manage and maintain all technical and soft facility services across the factory and administrative building, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The Facility Manager provides engineering-driven leadership to sustain high equipment performance, workplace safety, and cost control while supporting continuous improvement in plant and office environments.
What you will be doing
This position has the authority to:
- Plan, prioritize and approve daily preventive and corrective maintenance activities for factory utilities and building systems within approved budgets.
- Direct and supervise internal maintenance teams and external service providers to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
- Approve routine facility-related purchases and services within delegated financial authority and pre-approved budgets, and verify vendor performance before invoice sign-off.
- Implement and enforce HSE procedures for facility activities and stop unsafe work where required.
- Plan and coordinate minor facility projects, refurbishments and energy optimization initiatives within agreed scopes, timelines and budgets.
- Escalate major breakdowns, HSE incidents, significant capital investments and risks to factory management and the MEA Regional Lead in line with the Delegation of Authority.
Skills Required
- Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical power distribution, utilities and fire protection systems.
- Ability to plan, schedule and control preventive and corrective maintenance using CAFM/BMS systems.
- Project planning and execution skills for facility improvement and expansion projects.
- Vendor and contractor management skills, including performance monitoring and SLA control.
- Budgeting and cost control skills for facility operations and capital projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership and people management skills.
- Problem-solving, analytical thinking and decision-making under pressure
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (required).
- 8–15 years of experience in facility management, including factory or industrial environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, power systems, utilities, and fire safety.
Preferred Requirements
- Proficient in CAFM/BMS systems, project planning, and vendor management.
- Certifications such as CFM (IFMA), OSHA.
