POSITION INFO:
EXTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – ROOF TRUSSES Location: East London, Eastern Cape Territory: East London, surrounding areas, Transkei and up to Durban ABOUT THE ROLE The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships and promoting the Company's roof trusses and related products. This position requires someone who can work fully independently , take ownership of their territory and drive sales growth through regular client visits and proactive business development. The position is based in East London and requires extensive regional travel throughout the Eastern Cape, Transkei and surrounding areas, extending up to Durban. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Promote and sell the Company's roof trusses and related products. Conduct regular external sales visits and client meetings throughout the designated territory. Identify customer requirements and provide suitable product solutions. Prepare quotations, follow up on enquiries and convert opportunities into sales. Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute towards business growth. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and new business opportunities. Follow up on outstanding quotations and customer accounts where required. Provide regular sales reports and feedback to management. Manage the sales territory, travel schedule and daily activities independently. Ensure excellent customer service and ongoing relationship management.   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric / Grade 12. Proven experience in external sales, preferably within the building, construction, roofing or manufacturing industry. Previous experience in business development and new client acquisition. A proven track record of achieving sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Strong customer relationship-building abilities. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Valid driver's licence. Willingness and ability to travel extensively from East London through the surrounding Eastern Cape and Transkei regions, extending up to Durban. Must be based in or around East London.
