EXTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – WELDING EQUIPMENT Location: Boksburg, Gauteng Industry: Welding Equipment / Industrial Supplies Employment Type: Permanent Salary: Basic salary plus commission Start Date: As soon as possible ABOUT THE ROLE An opportunity is available for a technically skilled and client-focused External Sales Representative with practical knowledge of welding systems, equipment and consumables. The successful candidate will advise clients on suitable welding techniques and applications while driving sales and providing ongoing technical support and after-sales service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify new business opportunities and develop existing customer relationships. Promote and sell welding equipment, machinery and consumables. Advise customers on welding techniques, applications and suitable equipment. Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical guidance. Assist clients with equipment troubleshooting, repairs and service solutions. Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to after-sales support. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Provide reliable technical service and identify solutions to customer requirements. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Previous external sales experience, preferably in welding equipment or industrial supplies. Practical knowledge of welding systems, machinery, consumables and equipment servicing. Ability to advise customers on different welding techniques and their applications. Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills. Confident in conducting client visits and product demonstrations. Self-motivated, commercially minded and able to work independently. Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-focused approach.
