Remuneration: R15 000 negotiable (based on experience and qualifications)
 
Purpose Of The Job:
 
Our client a well-established Commercial and Passenger vehicle repair centre, are seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Parts Storeman to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of parts that keep the workshop running at full capacity.
The Parts Storeman is responsible for the receiving, storage, issuing, and management of all vehicle body repair parts. This role requires a high level of accuracy, initiative, and familiarity with panel beating parts procurement and stock management processes. The successful candidate will work closely with workshop management, estimators, and suppliers to ensure parts availability aligns with production schedules.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and capture incoming parts deliveries accurately on TMS Teamwork Issue parts to technicians against active repair orders and job cards Maintain an organised, clean, and correctly labelled parts store at all times Process and manage parts orders using TMS Teamwork and Microsoft Office (Outlook) Liaise with parts suppliers, couriers, and assessors for procurement and returns Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as required Process credits, returns, and warranty claims on incorrect or damaged parts Ensure all parts documentation (delivery notes, invoices, job allocations) is filed correctly Report shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to workshop management promptly Support estimators and foremen with parts availability queries and lead times Be familiar with returns processes and documentation Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Parts Storeman in a panel beating or motor vehicle workshop environment Proven working knowledge of body repair parts - makes, models, OEM vs aftermarket Experience using TMS Teamwork for parts processing and job allocation is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Outlook Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail Ability to read and interpret repair orders, job cards, and parts requisitions Sound knowledge of parts suppliers in the Gauteng market Valid South African ID
