Job Description

Role Overview
Provide professional nursing and phlebotomy services for our client through the safe and accurate collection, handling, and transportation of patient specimens. You will maintain specimen integrity, protect patient confidentiality, and ensure strict compliance with clinical protocols and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Collect blood and other patient specimens using approved venepuncture and handling procedures.
Perform authorized point-of-care testing and assist with medical procedures under appropriate supervision.
Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures while maintaining their dignity, privacy, and comfort.
Adhere to established standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintain accurate records, and follow strict infection control measures.

Key Requirements

Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse with a valid practicing status.
One to two years of verifiable practical phlebotomy experience.
Previous experience working within a laboratory or clinical diagnostic environment.
Sound knowledge of infection prevention, control, and safe specimen handling.
Valid driver's license and basic computer literacy.
