SUMMARY:
Our client is a reputable South African healthcare company with a national footprint and established operations in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

An opportunity is available for a reliable, responsible and hands-on Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join the Operations team at their Cornubia, Durban office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of products and equipment, while also assisting with warehouse operations, stock control, order preparation and general logistics activities.

This position will suit a dependable and hardworking individual who takes pride in safe driving, professional customer service and accurate stock handling.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working across both driving and warehouse responsibilities, have a strong knowledge of Durban and surrounding areas, and be willing to assist wherever required to support the smooth running of the operation.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 \/ Matric or equivalent Valid South African Code 10 Driver's Licence with PDP essential 3-5 years' experience as a delivery driver within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment Previous experience handling stock and assisting with warehouse operations Good knowledge of Durban and surrounding areas Understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures Physically fit and able to lift and move stock when required Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge advantageous Clear criminal record Reliable transport to and from work Willing to work overtime and weekends when required Excellent driving skills with a strong safety record Honest, reliable and trustworthy Good organisational and time management skills Good communication and interpersonal skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional and customer-service orientated Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good problem-solving skills Strong work ethic and willingness to assist across warehouse operations KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with road traffic regulations Deliver and collect products, equipment and documentation from customers, suppliers and company branches Load, offload, count, inspect and secure stock before transportation Ensure all deliveries and collections are accurately documented and signed Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or mechanical issues Keep company vehicles clean, roadworthy and properly maintained Assist with receiving, checking, packing and dispatching warehouse stock Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently Assist with stock counts, inventory control and warehouse organisation Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment Follow all Occupational Health and Safety policies and company procedures Provide professional and courteous service to customers and colleagues Complete general warehouse and administrative duties as required Assist with any additional operational duties assigned by Management
