What you'll do
Operational Delivery
- Process and maintain accurate divisional financial transactions, journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Support month-end reporting activities by preparing information, checking completeness and submitting required outputs within agreed timelines.
- Monitor expenditure, cost centre allocations, accruals and routine accounting entries in line with delegated authority and financial procedures.
- Provide administrative and analytical support for budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities by consolidating and validating source information.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records and evidence to support reporting, reconciliation, audit and compliance requirements.
- Resolve routine finance queries and escalate exceptions, discrepancies or risks to the relevant finance stakeholders.

- Work collaboratively with divisional, operational and finance stakeholders to support accurate and timely financial administration.
- Share financial information clearly and accurately to support query resolution and day-to-day financial processes.

Financial, Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Prepare routine financial reports, schedules and reconciliations to support divisional performance tracking.
- Validate financial data for accuracy and completeness, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues where required.
- Support cost control by monitoring expenditure against approved budgets and providing accurate information for review.
Governance & Compliance
- Apply financial policies, procedures, accounting principles and internal controls in day-to-day divisional accounting activities.
- Prepare accurate schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation for audit, reporting and compliance purposes.
- Identify and escalate control gaps, data quality issues, reconciliation differences or financial risks through the appropriate channels.

- Support improvements to financial processes, reconciliations, reporting routines and document management practices.
- Use financial systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools accurately to complete assigned accounting and reporting tasks.

What you bring
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a closely related discipline (essential).
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in reconciliations, journal entries, reporting support, and month-end closing processes (essential).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reconciliation procedures (essential).
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and divisional or operational financial reporting (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365 applications (essential).
- Familiarity with financial or ERP systems such as SAP, BPC, or comparable platforms (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for liaising with various stakeholders.
