POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Relevant diploma and/or qualification. Previous experience in a logistics/dispatch role, ideally within an Equipment manufacturing or export environment. Experience coordinating trucking and transport, including export loads. Experience in loading of industrial equipment onto trucks. Familiarity with cross-border/export documentation (e.g. customs clearance documents, delivery notes, packing lists). Experience working directly with transporters and clearing agents. Physically capable and willing to be hands-on with loading and securing goods on trucks. Responsibilities: Plan and schedule the loading of stainless-steel vessels, process plant components, and project work onto trucks. Coordinate loading sequence and timing with workshop production and project programmes to meet delivery deadlines. Maintain a load tracking schedule/dashboard visible to relevant staff across the company, showing the status of each load. Act as the direct point of contact between the company, transporters, and clearing agents. Source and negotiate pricing with transporters for local and cross-border loads. Liaise with clearing agents on documentation and customs requirements for export shipments. Build and maintain relationships with reliable transporters to ensure consistent availability and service levels. Track and follow up on all loads from dispatch through to delivery. Keep the load tracking schedule/dashboard updated in real time so status is visible company wide. Proactively flag delays, breakdowns, or documentation issues that could affect delivery timelines. Prepare and manage cross-border documentation required for export shipments. Compile and issue loading documents, delivery notes, and packing lists for each dispatch. Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete before trucks depart, to avoid delays at border posts. Be physically present and hands-on during the loading of trucks — this is a hands-on logistics and dispatch role, not an office-based position. Assist with the physical loading of stainless-steel vessels and equipment onto trucks. Ensure all items are correctly tied down, strapped, and secured for transport, checking load security before departure. Ensure loads comply with legal and safety requirements for weight distribution and securing. Be responsible for on-site logistics, including the forklift movement of materials, vessels, and other items as per Production’s requirements. Coordinate with Production on the timing and priority of on-site movements, so that materials and vessels are where they are needed when they are needed. Please note that if you do not receive a response within 2 weeks, your application has been unsuccessful.
