Dealership Financial Manager - Gauteng, Fourways

It’s time to put your financial expertise in the driver's seat! We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager to join an established automotive operation and take responsibility for the dealership's financial control, reporting, compliance and accounting functions.

You will be responsible for the overall financial health and control of the operation, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cash-flow management, statutory compliance and adherence to OEM and group policies.

Remuneration:
R55,000 CTC per month + lucrative performance-based incentive
Benefits including Provident Fund and UIF.

POSITION INFO:
Duties include Full responsibility for the financial control function. Ensure compliance with all OEM and group policies and procedures. Manage monthly reconciliations, allocations and outstanding items. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs. Manage daily cash flow and optimise available funds. Oversee collections and outstanding debtor balances. Maintain accurate financial information on the DMS. Manage system users, access and security controls. Ensure accurate and timely daily and monthly financial reporting. Lead, train, motivate and support finance and administration personnel. Ensure payroll-related requirements are submitted to HR within deadlines. Maintain effective vehicle and fixed-asset control procedures. Oversee vehicle stock checks and bi-annual stock-take requirements. Ensure VAT and other statutory returns are accurately submitted. Manage FIC and goAML reporting within prescribed timeframes. Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure balance-sheet reconciliations are completed. Oversee departmental commission schedules and approvals. Manage floorplan control and vehicle settlements. Monitor OEM accounts and outstanding amounts. Verify variable incentives and clawbacks against OEM bulletins and approvals. Complete Stats SA and required financial submissions. Assist with annual budgets, quarterly reviews and Board reporting. Manage the external audit process and ensure year-end packs are prepared. Control year-end journals and reconciliation processes. Monitor leave-related accounting requirements. Oversee BBBEE administration, including Procurement, CSI, ED\/SED and Skills. Provide financial insight and support to the Dealer Principal and management team. Requirements: Relevant financial\/accounting qualification. Minimum 5 years' relevant financial management experience, preferably in automotive retail. Strong dealership accounting experience. Excellent knowledge of financial controls, reconciliations and management accounts. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience with automotive DMS systems. Knowledge of VAT, FIC, goAML and statutory reporting. Experience with vehicle stock, floorplan and OEM accounts. Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management skills. Audit and year-end financial reporting experience. BBBEE experience advantageous. Strong leadership and people-management ability. High level of integrity, accuracy and confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding month-end and year-end deadlines. Must reside in the East Rand or surrounding areas.
