What You’ll Learn & Do (Key Responsibilities)

1. Digital Curation & Newsletter Writing

• Copy Editing: Build sharp editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to Daily Maverick’s style guide under daily deadline pressure.

2. Digital Publishing Tools & Production

• ESP & CMS Mastery: Gain practical experience working inside professional Email Service Providers (e.g., Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign) and Content Management Systems (CMS).

• Newsletter Design & Formatting: Learn the principles of mobile-responsive email design, layout structure, and asset integration for a smooth user experience.

• Daily Ops Execution: Support the day-to-day production workflow, ensuring newsletters go out accurately and on schedule.

3. Newsroom Collaboration & Reader Engagement
