Cost Accountant

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join a dynamic organisation where you will play a key role in providing accurate costing information, analysing variances and supporting the business in making informed financial decisions. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain product and standard costing . Analyse cost variances and investigate key drivers. Perform cost and margin analysis across products and operations. Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial planning . Monitor manufacturing costs, overheads and production expenses . Prepare monthly costing and management reports. Assist with stock valuation and inventory reconciliations . Analyse production performance and identify cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with production, procurement and finance teams . Provide financial insights to management to support profitability and operational decisions. Maintain accurate costing models and ensure financial data is reliable. Minimum Requirements BCom Accounting \/ Finance or related qualification. CIMA or studying towards CIMA will be advantageous. 2-5 years' experience in a Cost Accounting role. Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production or a similar environment is preferred. Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with large datasets. Experience with an ERP system will be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and engage with operational teams.
