POSITION INFO:
An established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its finance team in Boksburg. The successful candidate will play an important role in managing product costing, analysing manufacturing costs and ensuring accurate cost information across production processes. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain product costing within the manufacturing environment Prepare, review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) Analyse material, labour and overhead costs Monitor production costs and investigate costing variances Review standard and actual costs to identify discrepancies Support inventory valuation and cost accuracy Provide costing analysis and financial information to support operational decisions Identify opportunities to improve cost controls and manufacturing efficiencies Job Experience and Skills Required BCom Accounting, Cost Accounting or equivalent qualification Currently studying towards CIMA - minimum Strategic Level Minimum 4 years' relevant costing experience Manufacturing industry experience - essential Strong product costing and BOM experience - essential Understanding of manufacturing processes and production costs Strong analytical and numerical capabilities Excellent Excel skills Ability to work accurately with detailed costing information The Ideal Candidate A commercially minded and analytical Cost Accountant with strong manufacturing exposure, solid costing knowledge and the ability to engage with operational teams.
