Content Developer: Information Systems

Eduvos is looking to employ an Academic Content Developer specialising in Information Systems, based at any of our national Eduvos campuses.

Purpose of the role:

To develop and update study materials and assessments for Information Systems modules. The successful candidate will work with subject matter experts and moderators to ensure that materials are technically accurate, aligned with module outcomes and suitable for the relevant NQF level

Responsibilities:

As an Academic Content Developer, you would be responsible for the following:

• Develop study guides, case studies, learning activities and assessments in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Follow Eduvos content development guidelines, programme specifications and brand standards.
• Work with moderators to review materials for technical accuracy, academic quality and alignment with module outcomes.
• Submit materials for copy editing through the approved process and incorporate feedback.
• Upload approved materials to the relevant platform in the required format.
• Review and update existing materials and assessments and respond to content-related queries.

• Database management and data modelling
• Business process modelling
• Enterprise information systems
• Digital business models and business applications of information technology

Minimum qualifications required:

• An Honours or Master’s degree in Information Systems or a related field relevant to the modules listed below.
• A relevant professional qualification in Instructional Technology or Instructional Design would be advantageous.
• A PhD in Information Systems would be an added advantage.

Minimum experience required:

• At least two years’ experience lecturing and/or developing study materials in higher education.
• Experience setting assessments aligned with module outcomes and the relevant NQF level.
• Experience creating interactive learning content in a learning management system such as Moodle is strongly preferred.
• Relevant industry experience and a record of academic publications would be advantageous.
