Job Description
- Create engaging, high-quality content that brings the Pedros Group’s brands, food and customer experiences to life. Turn briefs and ideas into compelling short-form videos, photographs and social content, working under the Content Manager and alongside the videographer.
- This is a hands-on creative role requiring strong ideas, an eye for detail and the ability to shoot and edit excellent content across a range of formats.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Content ideas and planning
- Develop concepts, hooks, simple scripts and shot lists from campaign briefs and the content calendar. Adapt ideas to the distinct voice and audience of each brand.
- Identify relevant social trends, formats and customer moments, proposing ideas that suit the brand and can be produced quickly without compromising quality.
Photography and video
- Independently shoot excellent video and photographs for social platforms on mobile, including Reels, TikTok, Stories and other suitable formats.
- Use composition, lighting, movement and sound to make food look appetising and capture authentic store, team and customer experiences. Keep product presentation accurate and consistent with the brief.
- Style food for photography and video, using presentation, props and attention to detail to make it look craveable to customers while accurately representing the product.
- Capture enough footage and variations for strong hooks, cutaways, transitions and platform-specific edits. Prepare equipment, products, props and locations before shoots.
Working with the videographer
- Help prepare concepts, references, scripts and shot lists for planned shoots. Coordinate content capture with the videographer so footage complements the wider production.
- Assist with shoot preparation and capture behind-the-scenes or additional social content. Work constructively with store teams to minimise disruption and obtain the required approvals.
Editing and delivery
- Edit mobile footage into polished short-form content with effective pacing, clear storytelling, readable captions, appropriate audio and a strong opening hook.
- Create versions for different platforms, aspect ratios and campaign needs. Check spelling, sound, picture quality, product accuracy and brand consistency before submitting work.
- Write supporting captions and short copy as required. Submit work to the Content Manager, respond to feedback and deliver approved assets on time to the relevant teams.
Quality and continuous improvement
- Review content results and feedback with the Content Manager and digital team. Use learnings about audience response, watch time and engagement to improve future ideas and edits.
- Maintain organised footage and asset files, with clear naming and version control. Follow brand approval processes and requirements for filming permissions, music and asset usage.
