Construction Carpenter (Australia)

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company in Australia that works on residential, commercial and industrial projects. They’re looking for skilled Construction Carpenters to join their team full-time on an Australian skilled-migration visa.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities Read construction drawings and specifications to work out materials, measurements and methods Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and building materials Build wall frames, roof framing, partitions and staircases Lay sub-floors and floorboards Install fascia boards, cladding, door and window frames, skirting, architraves and cabinetry Repair and renovate damaged timber structures and fittings Inspect finished work against specifications and building standards Work with supervisors, builders and other trades to finish projects on time Experience & Qualifications Trade qualification in Carpentry (Red Seal or equivalent) Experience in residential and\/or commercial construction Able to read and interpret construction drawings Skilled with carpentry hand and power tools Timber framing and concrete formwork experience is beneficial Driver's licence and Working at Heights certification are beneficial Good spoken and written English is essential Depending on the role and candidate, an English language test, a skills assessment and\/or a practical workplace assessment may be required
