POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a Compliance Assistant. The compliance Assistant provides administrative support to the compliance team, ensuring that all compliance activities are executed with precision and efficiency. This role demands high computer literacy, flexibility, the ability to multitask effectively and a quick, accurate working style. Candidates must have prior experience in administration, a compliance-related field and previously worked with Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :  Respond to internal tickets from IOEC for Compliance and\/or Labelling support.  Obtain manufacturing declarations from suppliers and\/or create them using supplier templates to ensure market compliance for each shipment.  Conduct ingredient reviews for different markets using data bases to determine if products are restricted or pose risks.  Request necessary documents from suppliers, such as Product Data Sheets, Flatpack artwork, and MSDS, essential for compliance tasks.  File documents accurately in the designated compliance inventory folders.  Create and update product labels using Bartender software according to market regulations or specific customer requests.  Upload and maintain labels on Gateway.  Review and approve labels on Gateway contracts, ensuring compliance and accuracy ahead of printing stage.  Oversee the label schedule on Gateway and monitor pending tasks for the Compliance department.  Maintain the Manufacturing Declaration tracker to monitor required documents.    SKILLS:   Completion of matric; tertiary education is preferred.  High computer literacy. Experienced in computer applications including Excel, Adobe, Word, and Teams. Knowledge of Bartender or similar label creation software is a plus.  Experience in the administration of FMCG products. Prior experience in a compliance or QC role is ideal.  Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies within large data sets.  Comprehensive knowledge of food regulations and standards, with the ability to research, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements in the markets that IOEC exports to.  Strong communication skills, capable of effectively interacting and collaborating with the IOEC team and suppliers.  Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.  Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks efficiently.  Robust problem-solving skills, capable of resolving issues promptly and effectively, often in collaboration with other departments.  High ethical standards and integrity.  Commitment to high-quality work standards, with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.    If this opportunity sounds like the right fit for you, where your skills and experience could make a difference, we look forward to receiving  your application.
