Commodity Leader

Essential responsibilities and duties

• The Commodity Leader is responsible for driving the implementation of the commodity strategy, ensuring alignment with global purchasing policies, and delivering performance objectives across quality, cost, and supply.
• The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve strategic goals and maintain compliance with established standards.

• Delivery of commodity strategic plan
• Commodity-specific metrics

• Business stakeholder satisfaction
• Supply performance
• Compliance and risk management

Organizational impact and personal development

• Support the Commodity Director / Manager in development of strategy for his/her commodities
• Implement the commodity strategic purchasing process, under management of the GCD (e.g., launch RFx, manage catalog, …)
• Provide insights into specific suppliers, markets and business factors
• Ensure compliance with global policy

Your profile and competencies to succeed

• Minimum Education Level: Prefer Diploma/ degree in business, purchasing or engineering.

Experience :

• Prior experience with purchasing / strategic sourcing or sales is highly desirable

Skills and competencies :  

• Strong negotiation skills
• Purchasing financials skills, including data analytics, budgeting and savings calculation
• Business sense / strategic thinking ability
• Drive, creativity and willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in English

Nice to have 

• Experience in global commodity management and advanced analytics tools
