Commercial Manager - North

• A leading company in the field of biological crop protection and agricultural solutions is seeking a Commercial Manager to be responsible for regional commercial strategy, sales growth, and team leadership, while driving market development and the adoption of biological solutions, providing technical crop support, and managing key stakeholder relationships across the region.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a minimum of a B. Sc. in Agriculture
• Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in business development and management
• Must have technical marketing and sales experience in the South African agricultural industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Exceptional ability to influence and lead change in existing Integrated Crop Protection Management programmes
• Performance-driven approach with a strong sense of self-discipline, integrity, and excellence
• Excellent proficiency in Afrikaans (Read, Speak, and Present)
• Must be willing to travel regionally when required

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the Area Manager Team in the northern and central regions.
• Ensuring the team’s alignment with company policies, commercial objectives, and industry best practices.
• Driving sustainable sales growth for biological and bio-stimulant solutions across the region.
• Strengthening market presence and brand positioning of products.
• Expanding market access by identifying and developing new opportunities and channels.
• Leading commercial efforts primarily focused on row crops, including maize, soya, sunflowers, and potatoes.
• Developing and implementing regional commercial strategies for the Loskop Valley, Limpopo.
• Managing distributor sales and key distribution partner relationships in the region.
• Delivering in-field technical support to growers and partners to optimize product outcomes.
• Providing regional Area Manager leadership and coaching in the Loskop Valley according to business priorities.
• Providing individual technical crop support and expertise focused on citrus and table grapes.
• Influencing and leading the adoption of biological solutions within existing Integrated Crop Protection Management (ICM) programmes.
• Building and maintaining trusted relationships with growers, stakeholders, distributors, and industry partners.
• Promoting the mission of providing quality solutions that support healthy food and a healthy environment.
• Monitoring regional performance, market trends, and growth opportunities, and reporting on commercial results.
