POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity Implement and maintain cloud security controls across Azure, AWS, and\/or GCP Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify improvement opportunities Investigate security incidents and coordinate incident response activities Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices Manage identity and access controls (IAM, RBAC, MFA, PAM) Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking Support compliance initiatives aligned with frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC2, PCI-DSS, and POPIA Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and engineering teams to embed security into cloud operations Create security reports, dashboards, and recommendations for stakeholders Job Experience and Skills Required: Minimum 3+ years' of experience in Cyber Security, Cloud Security, or Information Security roles Hands-on experience with Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, or equivalent tools Strong understanding of IAM, Zero Trust principles, network security, and encryption technologies Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platforms Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat detection methodologies Familiarity with vulnerability management and security assessment tools Understanding of cloud networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security architecture Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash is advantageou This is an opportunity to join our talent pool and be considered for future opportunities with leading organisations across South Africa.
