Civil Engineer (Level II) – Mining & EPCM

Job Description

• We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Level II) to support civil engineering deliverables on a major mining project. This is a long-term contract role based in Johannesburg, focused on the platinum mining project.

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (2+ years)

Qualifications:

• Essential: BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering
• Essential: Trained in leadership and project execution
• Essential: Actively licensed with ECSA or equivalent where required by law
• Desirable: Training in risk management or quality

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
• Mining project experience (mandatory)
• EPCM experience (mandatory)
• Strong background in discipline work and understanding of regulations and codes
• Based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate

Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering studies, analyses, and calculations
• Gather data from multiple sources and create final documentation
• Support checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments
• Work with site personnel to resolve civil-related issues
• Ensure compliance with engineering and design practices
