THE ROLE: CIVIL ENGINEER The Civil Engineer will support the delivery of major water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects, contributing to projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support. The role will work within multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions while ensuring designs are technically robust, cost-effective and compliant with industry standards. The Civil Engineer will also play a central role in shaping project outcomes, mentoring junior engineers and driving design quality across multidisciplinary teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support the delivery of major water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects. Contribute to a wide range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support. Develop engineering solutions within multidisciplinary teams. Ensure designs are technically robust, cost-effective and compliant with industry standards. Help shape project outcomes. Mentor junior engineers. Drive design quality across multidisciplinary teams. ABOUT YOU 3-6 years of Civil Engineering experience. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Bring proven experience in civil engineering design, preferably within the water or wastewater industry. Demonstrate proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools. Have a strong understanding of water engineering principles, hydraulic systems and infrastructure design. Be familiar with regulatory frameworks, including CDM Regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Bring an analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Demonstrate proactivity, responsibility and multitasking skills. Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Be willing to work towards chartership with a relevant professional institution, including ICE, CIWEM or IoW. A Master's degree is preferred. Professional licensure or chartered status is desirable.
