Our client is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Chef with a strong Fine Dining background to join their team in Bloemfontein . The successful candidate will have a flair for creating exceptional dining experiences, maintaining the highest culinary standards, and delivering beautifully presented dishes that exceed guest expectations. Minimum requirements Matric Relevant Chef qualification or Culinary Diploma Minimum 5 years' experience as a Chef, with proven Fine Dining experience Fluent in Afrikaans and English Strong knowledge of contemporary culinary techniques and food trends Experience with menu planning, food costing, and stock management Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Own reliable transport will be advantageous Skills required Passion for culinary excellence and creativity Strong attention to detail and food presentation Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Professional, reliable, and well-presented Customer-focused with a commitment to exceptional service Innovative and proactive approach to kitchen operations Duties and responsibilities Prepare and present high-quality fine dining dishes in accordance with established standards Develop innovative and seasonal menu offerings Ensure exceptional food quality, taste, consistency, and presentation Manage stock levels, food costing, and inventory control Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards Minimise food wastage and maximise kitchen efficiency Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and used correctly Assist with special events, functions, and bespoke dining experiences Work closely with management to enhance the overall guest experience Remuneration R 30 000 Cost to Company - negotiable, depending on experience IMPORTANT: Applications close 30 October 2026 If you do not receive feedback within 14 days, your application is unsuccessful Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be considered Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
