Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Chargehand to supervise the activities of artisans responsible for maintaining, modifying, installation and repairs. Inspect plant or production area for scheduling maintenance or repairs as required to minimise loss of production. May be an Artisan in more than one trade e.g. welder, fitter, boilermaker, electrical/mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and motivate a team of workshop staff • Manage the fleet service and maintenance programme as per maintenance procedure • Manage the stores stock with storeman • Attend regular HSE meetings and toolbox talk discussions with workshop staff • Deadline orientated and prepared to do adhoc tasks

Requirements
