CAD Operator - Engineering, Systems Integration and Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
The CAD Operator will be responsible for producing accurate, professional engineering drawings in accordance with client specifications, technical standards and project deadlines.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Produce detailed engineering drawings using appropriate CAD software in line with project requirements. Update and revise engineering drawings to reflect client specifications and design changes. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant technical standards, specifications and quality requirements. Compile, update and maintain engineering drawings, design documentation and technical packs. Perform drawing accuracy checks to ensure compliance with design criteria and project requirements. Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions and related technical documentation. Ensure all drawing deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed project deadlines. Work closely with engineers and other project team members to support the engineering design process. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4. CAD or Draughting certification. Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in a draughting role within an engineering environment. Technical Knowledge & Competencies: Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems and their components. Understanding of engineering drawing procedures and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and meet project deadlines.
