Brand & Trade Marketing Manager

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Brand & Trade Marketing Manager within the FMCG industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing brand and trade marketing strategies, managing retail promotions, coordinating in-store activations and driving brand visibility and sales growth across multiple brands.

This role requires a hands-on marketing professional with strong South African retail experience and the ability to deliver measurable commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement brand and trade marketing strategies across multiple brands.
• Plan, coordinate and execute retail promotions and in-store marketing campaigns.
• Manage brand activations, point-of-sale (POS) materials and planogram execution.
• Drive product visibility, customer engagement and sell-out performance.
• Monitor campaign effectiveness and report on sales performance and return on investment (ROI).
• Manage marketing budgets, suppliers, purchase orders and campaign expenditure.
• Coordinate product launches and promotional activities across retail channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with retailers, suppliers and marketing partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve brand positioning and market share.
• Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant advertising and industry regulations.

• Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG marketing.
• At least 3 years' hands-on experience in South African retail trade marketing or brand management.
• Proven experience managing retail promotions and brand activations.
• Experience with POS materials, planograms and in-store marketing execution.
• Strong understanding of retail environments and consumer behaviour.
• Experience managing marketing budgets, suppliers and purchase orders.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills, including Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally.
