Responsibilities

Ensure Safe Boiler operation in the hospital, ensure correct usage and flow of chemicals, monitor the steam pressure constantly, monitoring the water/fuel level in the boiler, ensure adherence and compliance with Occupational and Health Standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, perform administrative functions and supervise Boiler Assistant.

Requirements

Grade 12 certificate recognized National Steam Certificate and 2 years experience as Boiler Assistant.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of Occupational and Safety Act (OHS). Skills- planning, organising, verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be willing to work overtime and be on standby.
