JOB DESCRIPTION
- The incumbent will be responsible for assuring the quality, stability and reliability of Santam’s Guidewire BillingCenter platform through structured testing, validation and quality management activities. The role supports project delivery, cloud releases, business enhancements and operational readiness activities.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design, develop and maintain BillingCenter test strategies, plans, scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression and end-to-end testing activities.
- Validate billing workflows, invoicing, payments, collections, disbursements and financial event processing.
- Verify integration processing between BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, JDE and external services.
- Identify, document and manage defects through to resolution.
- Participate in requirement reviews, solution design reviews and release planning activities.
- Validate delivered functionality against functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support production readiness activities and post-implementation validation.
- Ensure compliance with CIP testing frameworks, governance standards and quality processes.
- Prepare and communicate test progress, quality metrics and risk assessments.
Generic Functions
- Maintain testing repositories, test evidence and audit records.
- Promote continuous improvement of quality assurance practices and testing standards.
- Stay abreast of Guidewire platform enhancements and quality assurance techniques.
Integration Functions
- Validate inbound and outbound interfaces and financial event processing.
- Support testing of APIs, web services and batch processing functions.
- Collaborate with integration teams in resolving interface-related defects.
Quality Assurance
- Define quality standards and acceptance criteria.
- Support user acceptance testing and business validation activities.
- Provide recommendations regarding release readiness and deployment quality.

Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- Guidewire BillingCenter QA certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ testing and quality assurance experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications.
- Experience testing Guidewire BillingCenter functionality and integrations.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience with test management and defect management tools.
- Financial services or short-term insurance experience will be advantageous.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence and testing tools.
KNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter functionality and business processes.
- Knowledge of billing, payments, invoicing and receivables management processes.
- Understanding of test methodologies, defect lifecycle management and quality governance.
- Knowledge of system integrations, APIs and web services testing.
- Knowledge of agile delivery practices and release management.
