A 4-star safari lodge in a private Big Five reserve in northern Limpopo is seeking a welcoming and polished BARTENDER to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate is a confident, hands-on bar professional who enjoys engaging with international guests and keeping a bar running smoothly in a remote bush setting. Reliability, a neat appearance, and a genuine love of hospitality matter as much as technical skill. Core Criteria: Proven experience as a bartender, ideally within a lodge or upmarket hospitality environment Solid knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers Good understanding of stock control and bar administration Strong guest service and communication skills Reliable, presentable, and able to work independently Team player who adapts well to a small, remote operation Willingness to work flexible lodge hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays Comfortable with live-in bush living Core Responsibilities: Prepare and serve drinks to a high standard for lodge guests Run the bar efficiently throughout the day and evening Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate stock records Handle bar stock ordering and replenishment Keep the bar area clean, organised, and well presented Make recommendations on wines, cocktails, and local offerings Support the wider front-of-house team where needed Uphold service standards and contribute to a warm guest experience
