SUMMARY:
Restaurant at aluxury Wine Estate in Stellenbosch is looking for an experienced and guest-focusedBarman to join its team.

The successful candidate will create classic and innovative drinks, provide personalised recommendations and maintain an organised bar that delivers an exceptional guest experience.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests. Take orders and serve drinks and snacks professionally. Understand guest preferences and recommend suitable beverages. Mix cocktails and assist with planning and presenting the bar menu. Ensure the bar is fully stocked, set up and ready for service. Replenish bar inventory and supplies. Check beverage presentation and temperature to maintain quality. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout all bar areas. Conduct fridge temperature checks at the beginning and end of each shift. Check coffee, ice and juice machines and fridges to ensure they are functioning correctly. Minimise losses through breakages, waste, theft and incorrect orders. Assist management with bar stocktakes. Comply with food and beverage regulations and maintain attentive guest service. Requirements: At least 1-2 years' previous experience as a Barman. Basic computer and administration skills. Excellent guest service, interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
