Job Description

A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their sons aged 6 months old and 2 years old (main assistance with toddler)
Area: Fresnaye
Ages: sons aged 6 months old and 2 years old (main assistance with toddler)
Working hours: Monday and Wednesday: 09h00 - 13h30

Responsibilities

Main assistance will be with the 2 year old but will be responsible for overall caring for the boys, helping with feeding and nappy changes, supporting their routines and individual needs, and tidying their play areas after meals and activities, planning engaging, age-appropriate activities, such as Montessori-inspired play, sensory activities, books, music and outdoor walks within the complex.

Someone who will fit naturally into the home, bring creativity and positive energy and provide caring, experienced support while having fun with the boys.

Requirements: warm, experienced and gentle, feel confident caring for both babies and toddlers and bring a calm, nurturing and respectful approach to childcare, gentle boundaries, an understanding of toddler development, attentive, proactive and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children.

Start date: ASAP start – permanent contract

Salary:R7500 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal childcare experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
Must have their own, reliable car and at least 12 months driving experience.
Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
Must have a clear criminal record
Must have a passion for children
Must have Matric
Must have a South African ID document.
