Assistant Lodge Manager

SUMMARY:
A five-star safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area is seeking an 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥 to join their management team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to individuals who thrive on the floor, lead by example, and can move seamlessly between guest-facing service and behind-the-scenes operations. The successful candidates will take primary ownership of Food & Beverage while providing strong administrative and planning support to the Lodge Managers, stepping fully into a relief capacity during their absences. Core Criteria: Previous experience in a lodge management, assistant management, or senior F&B role within a luxury hospitality environment Strong personnel management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team Proven ability in administration, planning, organising, and stock control Excellent guest interaction skills and an unwavering commitment to five-star service standards Confident, front-footed leadership style - comfortable setting the standard rather than simply maintaining it For couples or paired individuals: complementary strengths across F&B and admin\/planning\/stock control, with some overlap between both areas an advantage Candidate Responsibilities: Oversee and manage daily Food & Beverage operations Lead from the front across all guest-facing touchpoints, ensuring consistent five-star service Manage lodge personnel effectively, including day-to-day supervision and motivation Support the Lodge Managers with administrative duties and forward planning Maintain accurate stock control and oversee ordering and inventory processes Step into a relief management capacity, assuming full lodge management responsibilities when the Lodge Managers are off duty or on leave This is a live-in position
