POSITION INFO:
Talent Connected Staffing Solutions is recruiting an experienced Area Sales Manager for an established company operating within the material handling equipment sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within an assigned geographic area. This includes developing and implementing sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships and consistently achieving monthly and annual sales targets. The position requires someone with proven equipment-sales experience, strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage the full sales process-from prospecting and quotations through to invoicing, reporting and after-sales customer support. Key Responsibilities Promote and market the company's products and services effectively. Develop sales plans and budgets aligned with market trends and business objectives. Monitor and analyse sales information to guide sales decisions. Identify opportunities to increase sales and grow market share. Prospect for and develop new business opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders. Respond promptly to customer enquiries and concerns. Maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction. Sell divisional products to new and existing customers. Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets. Prepare quotations and maintain accurate sales opportunities. Track quotations, invoiced sales and won or lost opportunities. Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM system. Keep IFS and CRM records accurate and up to date. Prepare weekly activity reports and monthly sales tracker reports. Maintain efficient and accurate equipment-sales administration. Minimum Requirements National Certificate: Grade 12. A minimum of 5-7 years' sales experience. At least 3-5 years' sales experience within material handling equipment or a closely related industry. Proven history of consistently achieving sales targets. Experience in customer management and relationship building. Experience maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Strong new-business-development ability. Experience preparing quotations and managing sales opportunities. Experience maintaining accurate CRM records. Strong sales administration and reporting skills. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the assigned area. Education Minimum Education: Grade 12 / National Certificate Advantageous Experience and Qualifications A degree, diploma or similar qualification in sales or business. Previous experience selling material handling equipment. Experience using IFS. Experience using CRM systems. Established customer relationships within the industrial or equipment-sales market. Technical understanding of material handling or related industrial equipment.
