Application Support Specialist III

Job Description

• The Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing advanced operational support for application solutions, managing more complex incidents, problems, changes, and service requests. They offer advanced technical solutions, liaise with vendors, and mentor junior team members. 

Responsibilities

• Provide expert operational support, including root cause analysis, incident management, and SLA achievement.  
• Manage critical incidents, problems, changes, and service requests. Offer expert technical solutions and configuration.  
• Liaise with senior vendors and provide technical advice to team members.  
• Ensure SLA achievement and involvement in projects.  
• Maintain and enhance application performance. Ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
• Support for BI applications.
• Track, manage service requests.
• Continuously monitor BI systems and applications  
• Work closely with BI developers, data analysts, and other IT teams to identify and resolve application issues and improve system functionality.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement within BI applications. 

Qualifications

• Education: A relevant IT qualification.  
• Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in application support.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
