Agronomist Are you passionate about crop protection, practical agronomy and helping farmers achieve better results? We're looking for a knowledgeable, relationship-driven Agronomist to support our distributor network and growers across the Northern Cape. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise, field engagement and regional business development. You'll help customers get the best from crop-protection solutions through trusted advice, product demonstrations and practical problem-solving-not transactional selling. What you'll do Provide technical expertise: Guide distributors, agents and growers on product selection, application and performance in the field. Deliver practical agronomy: Recommend crop-specific solutions informed by local farming conditions, pest and disease pressures, and emerging trends. Build lasting partnerships: Develop strong relationships with growers and channel partners through farm visits, technical training and demonstration days. Support market growth: Identify customer needs, emerging opportunities and competitor activity, helping strengthen product adoption and regional market presence. Drive regional performance: Develop and execute an area business plan with clear priorities, measurable objectives and practical actions. What you'll bring A diploma, BAgric or BSc in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology or a related agricultural discipline. CropLife accreditation. At least three years' experience in crop protection or a comparable agronomic technical role. Sound knowledge of crop-protection products, agricultural practices and the commercial realities of the industry. Experience working with farmers, distributors, agents or agricultural dealerships. Strong communication, planning, analytical and relationship-building skills. The ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence learning new systems. Fluency in both English and Afrikaans. A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.
