An Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic is a top-level medical first responder who treats severe, life-threatening emergencies like major trauma, cardiac arrest, and breathing failure. They perform advanced clinical procedures, administer powerful medications, and manage critical patient transport. Job Description Ensure the efficient and operational readiness of emergency calls Administer patient care in line with the scope of practice Ensure the safe and rapid transportation of patients to the desired medical facility. Ensure the accurate completion and administration of all medical reports. Uphold high ethical and professional standards Respond constructively to pressure and persevere through challenges Adhere to company policies Job Requirements Must have a Matric \/ Grade 12 Certificate Must have a valid Driver's License and PDP Must have an appropriate Life Support qualification (ALS - NDIP, ECP OR CCA) Must have at least 5 years' experience at the appropriate level Must have an up-to-date registration certificate with HPCSA Must have completed the CPG upgrade Must be able to cope under pressure Must have quality assurance knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work shifts High energy levels and tolerance for stress Adaptable and able to work effectively within a team
