Accounts Receivable Analyst (Card Accounting Administrator)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Card Accounting Consultant to join our finance operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing card-related accounting transactions, performing reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the accurate management of customer card accounts and settlements. This role requires strong reconciliation skills, a good understanding of transactional finance processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and maintain effective financial controls.

      Job Brief

• Process and administer card-related accounting transactions in accordance with approved procedures and controls.
• Monitor and reconcile customer card accounts and associated accounting balances.
• Investigate and resolve card transaction discrepancies and settlement exceptions.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations relating to card transactions and settlements.
• Support the accurate allocation and application of customer payments relating to card accounts.
• Review and investigate unmatched transactions and outstanding reconciling items.
• Support balance sheet account reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and card-related queries.
• Assist with customer account maintenance and card account administration activities.
• Support dispute resolution activities relating to card transactions and customer account balances.
• Monitor ageing items and outstanding card-related receivables and escalate as required.
• Assist with period-end and month-end accounting activities.
• Ensure compliance with established controls, approval procedures and governance frameworks.
• Contribute to KPI reporting and management information relating to card accounting activities.
• Support audit requests and control testing activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy and control.
• Support transition activities, KT programmes and special projects as required.

Qualification and years of experience required

• Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or Business Administration.
• 1–3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, Card Accounting, Banking Operations, Reconciliations or Finance Operations.
• Experience performing reconciliations and investigating accounting discrepancies.
• Experience working with transactional finance processes and customer accounts.
• Experience with SAP or major ERP systems.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy or Manufacturing Industries
• Multinational experience preferred
• Shared Services environment experience preferred
