Accounting Clerk: Financial Accounting (Bookkeepers and Cashiers), Ref No. WCMD 97/2026

Minimum Requirements

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification) with Accounting or Mathematics as passed subjects.

Key Performance Areas

• Cashier duties; Banking services; Bookkeeping duties;
• Provide personnel administration clerical support services within the component. 

Competencies

• A good understanding of the following: Financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics; Public Service financial legislations, procedures and processes, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury  Instructions, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999,
• Division of Revenue Act (DORA), Public Service Act (PSA),  Public Service Reguations(PSR), Prefencial Procurement Policy Framework (PPPFA), Financial Manual); Public Service Act, 1994, as amended; Basic Conditions of Employment Act, 1997; Legislative framework governing the Public Service; Procedures in terms of the working environment; Financial operating systems (PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS); Database Management; Information and Records Management.
• Skills in the folowing: Language; Numeracy; Literacy; Good Verbal and Written Communication; Basic Numeracy; Computer literacy in MS Excel and MS Word; Planning and Organising;Language; Record Keeping; Problem-solving; Job Knowledge; Interpersonal Relations; Flexibility; Teamwork ; Accuracy; Aptitude of Figures; Ability to perform routine tasks; Ability to operate office equipment.

Remuneration

• R 237 453- R 279 708 per annum (Salary Level 5)
