POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the full accounting function, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and effective financial control across the business. This role offers exposure to a high-volume, multi-currency environment where your expertise will play a key role in supporting business operations and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full accounting function Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Process supplier and customer transactions accurately and timeously Perform bank reconciliations and cash management activities Prepare and post monthly journal entries Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations Process accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting Support month-end and year-end close processes Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation Manage foreign currency transactions, revaluations, and reporting Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls Drive finance process improvements and system enhancements Assist with ad hoc reporting and finance projects Requirements: BCom Accounting, National Diploma in Accounting, SAIPA Qualification, or equivalent qualification Minimum 5 years of accounting experience Proven experience within a full-function accounting role Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls Experience with foreign currency transactions and revaluations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Exposure to audit requirements and statutory reporting Experience in a multi-currency environment advantageous Experience with NetSuite ERP is highly advantageous Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Apply now!
