Academic Administrative Systems Specialist - (B824.1)

Job Primary Purpose

• The main purpose of this position/job is to assist the Deputy Registrar Academic Administration in the efficient running of student administration systems at institutional level. To ensure efficient operations, integration and enhancement of student systems whilst leading innovation projects that drive institutional effectiveness.

Key Performance Areas:

• Student Systems Management and Innovation.Academic Administration & Records Management.Process Optimization.Stakeholder Engagement & Client Support.Compliance & Policy Implementation.Perform any other duties as delegated by the Line Manager.Extensive knowledge of ITS student system.Understanding of SAQA processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• M+4 (Honours) in Information Systems, ICT, Data Science OR a related field.Minimum seven (7) years relevant working experience with at least three (3) year’s relevant experience in information systems, systems support, business process support within higher education or similar environment.Experience in data analytics, process optimization, and knowledge of system integrations would be an added advantage.
• Advanced Knowledge of the student ITS system and HEDA/JASPER (or equivalents) will be an added advantage.Experience in process mapping.
